Day 1: Hanoi – Cuc Phuong National Park – Muong Village Trek (Lunch, Dinner)
Depart from Hanoi at 07:00 and travel south to Cuc Phuong National Park, arriving at approximately 09:00–10:00.
Begin your visit at the Visitor Center, where informative displays, photographs, and models provide a fascinating introduction to the park’s biodiversity, history, and conservation efforts.
Continue to the Endangered Primate Rescue Center, the first facility of its kind in Indochina, established in 1993. Here, you will learn about ongoing efforts to protect and rehabilitate some of the world’s rarest primate species, rescued from illegal wildlife trade.
After the visits, drive approximately 20 km deeper into the park to reach the trekking starting point. From here, embark on an adventurous 16 km trek (approximately 5–6 hours) through dense primary forest. The trail winds through limestone karst landscapes, ancient trees that are over a thousand years old, and rich jungle ecosystems teeming with life.
Arrive at a remote Muong ethnic village in the late afternoon, where you will be warmly welcomed by local families. Enjoy a traditional dinner prepared in authentic Muong style, offering a true taste of local culture.
In the evening, you may have the opportunity to experience a traditional music performance in a stilt house (available upon request), adding a cultural highlight to your stay.
