Tour Highlights

  • Discover the charm of Hoi An through a unique combination of river life, traditional craftsmanship, and cultural heritage.
  • This full-day journey blends a scenic boat trip with a guided walking tour of one of Vietnam’s most atmospheric UNESCO-listed towns.

After pick-up from your hotel in Da Nang, travel approximately 20 km to the charming town of Hoi An.

Begin your experience with a boat trip along the Thu Bon River, offering a relaxing perspective of local life along the waterways. Your first stop is Cam Kim Village, known for its long-standing carpentry tradition. Here, observe skilled artisans crafting wooden boats and furniture using techniques passed down since the 18th century.

Continue by boat to Thanh Ha Pottery Village, where local craftsmen produce everyday ceramic items using traditional methods. Watch demonstrations and see how simple yet artistic pottery pieces—such as animal figurines and household items—are made by hand.

Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant near the historic center.

After lunch, begin a guided walking tour of Hoi An Ancient Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its well-preserved architecture and cultural diversity.

Visit the Museum of Culture and History, where you will gain insight into Hoi An’s past as a thriving international trading port.

Stroll through a local market, offering a more authentic and intimate atmosphere compared to larger city markets, before continuing along the main streets lined with traditional houses, boutique shops, and colorful lanterns.

Stop at the Fujian (Phuc Kien) Assembly Hall, built in 1697 as a place of worship dedicated to Thien Hau, the Goddess of the Sea, and a gathering place for the Chinese community.

Continue your walk along narrow lanes to the riverbank, where historic homes have been beautifully preserved and transformed into charming shops and galleries.

Visit the iconic Japanese Covered Bridge, constructed in the early 17th century by Japanese traders. With its distinctive pagoda-style roof, it remains the symbol of Hoi An.

Conclude your visit with a stop at a traditional old house, showcasing classic architecture and offering a glimpse into the lifestyle of wealthy merchants in centuries past. Return to Da Nang in the late afternoon.
