Day 1: Cuc Phuong – Deep Forest Trek – Muong Village (Lunch / Dinner)
Begin your journey with a visit to the Cuc Phuong Visitor Center, where informative displays, photographs, and models provide a comprehensive introduction to Vietnam’s first national park, its unique biodiversity, and ongoing conservation efforts.
Continue to the Endangered Primate Rescue Center, the first of its kind in Vietnam and Indochina, established in 1993. This important conservation facility is dedicated to the protection and rehabilitation of rare primates, including 15 species and sub-species that have been rescued from illegal wildlife trade. Here, you will gain valuable insight into wildlife protection and conservation work in action.
After these visits, travel approximately 20 km to the park center, the starting point of your trekking adventure into the heart of the rainforest.
Set off on an unforgettable 16 km trek (approximately 5–6 hours) through the pristine primary forest of Cuc Phuong National Park. The trail leads you across dramatic limestone formations, dense jungle paths, and beneath ancient trees that are over a thousand years old. Along the way, experience the untouched beauty and tranquility of one of Vietnam’s most important natural ecosystems.
By late afternoon, arrive at a remote Muong ethnic village, where you will be warmly welcomed by local families. Enjoy a traditional Muong-style dinner prepared with local ingredients and experience authentic rural hospitality. In the evening, there may be an opportunity to enjoy a traditional music performance inside a stilt house (upon request), offering a memorable cultural connection with the local community.
Day 2: Muong Village – Nature & Local Life Experience (Breakfast)
Wake up to the peaceful sounds of rural life—roosters crowing, buffalo moving through the fields, and the gentle rhythm of the village morning. After breakfast in your stilt-house accommodation, take time to explore the village and observe daily life in this traditional community.
Depending on timing and conditions, you may also enjoy an optional bamboo rafting experience along the Buoi River, gliding gently through serene landscapes surrounded by lush greenery and limestone mountains.
After your morning activities, conclude your immersive Cuc Phuong experience and return with unforgettable memories of nature, culture, and authentic local life.
