Itinerary Details

Day 1: Yangon Arrival

Arrive at Yangon International Airport where you meet your guide and transfer to your hotel in Yangon. Official check in time is 2pm and program may change depending on your international flight time.

In the evening, visit the magnificent Shwedagon Pagoda, Myanmar’s most revered Buddhist site. Wander through intricately designed pavilions, shrines, and statues that surround the golden stupa. Observe locals gathering to pray and make offerings as the pagoda glows beautifully at sunset. Immerse yourself in the spiritual atmosphere and gain your first insight into Myanmar’s rich cultural traditions.

Overnight in SAYARSAN Hotel (4 Star) or similar.

Day 2: Land of a Thousand Temples (B)

After breakfast, transfer to Yangon Domestic Airport for your flight to Bagan. Upon arrival, begin your exploration of this ancient temple city.

Visit Shwezigon Pagoda, Ananda Temple, Thatbyinnyu Temple, and Dhammayangyi Temple, each showcasing impressive architecture and historical significance. Continue to a lacquerware workshop and observe skilled artisans creating Bagan’s most famous traditional handicraft.

In the evening, transfer to a designated sunset viewing platform. Take in panoramic views as golden light casts a magical glow over thousands of temples and pagodas across the plains.

Day 3: Village Encounters and Hidden Treasures of Bagan (B)

Optional balloon ride in Bagan.

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before starting your day at Nyaung U local market where you observe daily life. Continue to Shwe Kun Cha Temple on the riverbank for scenic views. Visit Nat Htaung Kyaung monastery in Taungbi village, an impressive teakwood structure with a peaceful ambience. Pass through Taungbi village and its primary school.

Proceed to Myinkaba village and explore Gubyaukgyi Temple known for its fine stuccowork. In the afternoon, visit Min Nan Thu village to learn about traditional village structure and lifestyle while your guide assists with communication.

End your day at Nan Myint Tower for a 360 degree panoramic view of the Bagan Archaeological Zone, especially beautiful at sunrise or sunset.

Day 4: Yangon Heritage and Riverside Flavors (B)

After breakfast, transfer to Nyaung U Airport for your flight to Yangon. Upon arrival, begin your city exploration.

Visit Chaukhtatgyi Pagoda, home to one of Myanmar’s most impressive reclining Buddha images. Continue to Kandawgyi Royal Lake and photograph the iconic Karaweik Hall with Shwedagon Pagoda in the background.

Stop at a traditional teashop to enjoy Burmese tea and authentic Myanmar snacks. Later, walk along the Yangon River and observe the lively harbor with ferries heading to Pathein and delta towns. If time permits, take a short ferry ride to Dala for a glimpse into everyday life outside the city.

Day 5: Yangon Departure (B)

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel. Official check out time is 12pm and late check out is subject to availability with surcharge.
