Start your day with an early morning pickup from your hotel in Siem Reap and journey 60 km north toward the sacred mountain of Phnom Kulen. The scenic drive (around 2 hours) takes you through charming rural villages and offers beautiful views of the countryside. Upon arrival, meet your local ranger—an experienced guide from the Ministry of Environment—who will accompany you throughout your trek. As you venture into the heart of Phnom Kulen National Park, follow specially prepared trails winding through dense evergreen forest.
Along the way, pass by impressive rock boulders, hidden bat caves, and peaceful river sections. Your guide will introduce you to the region’s rich biodiversity, pointing out native plants and, if you’re lucky, wildlife inhabiting the area. The trek lasts approximately 3 to 4 hours, including stops to rest, explore, and take in the surroundings. After your hike, enjoy a well-deserved picnic lunch in nature before preparing for your return journey.
